and just like that, she's five!

in between last weekend's fallapalooza and this weekend's halloween fun, our little girl turned five!

she's been so excited to turn five, it must seem just so grown up to her!

and as usual, she was snoozing away at 7:55 am on the 27th of october. an early bird she is not.

later that day, pops and zee arrived bringing her present from mama and daddy! yes, we had to send to SC for the hello kitty bike since none were to be found anywhere near here!

she is so excited to *finally* have a big girl bike! i see lots of family bike rides in the near future :)

the preschool had their halloween celebration that day, so we sent cupcakes to her class the next day and then had her birthday party on saturday. a three day long birthday celebration suited her just fine!

 this year, we had a paint party in the park, and we kept it simple!

for the first time ever, i even made the cupcakes myself! chocolate with chocolate icing and chocolate sprinkles, requested specifically by the birthday girl.

 my sweet friend heather prepped all of the art supplies and canvases for the kiddos, and they had lots of fun painting them in shades of pink, aqua, purple and green!

everyone worked up an appetite for cupcakes out on the playground...

and then had some chocolately deliciousness to wrap the party up!

all in all, faith had a pretty awesome series of celebrations for her fifth birthday! thanks to everyone who helped celebrate faith's 5th birthday with us!!
