nature's water park

while in sc, we embarked on an adventure to a little roadside park known for it's chilly creek waters and natural rock slide. the sun was high and hot, the water was refreshingly brisk, and faith had a blast!

it was a little more crowded than usual, so here are pictures of the one and only time faith went down the rock before declaring she was heading down to the shallow pool at the bottom for the duration. (thanks to aunt lou for all of the great pictures!)

when faith first walked into the shallow water, she looked down at her feet and saw little fish swimming around her ankles. she said, "mama! there's fishies in this water! we're swimming in fishy water?" poor child had never been swimming in anything except swimming pools before then! 

what a fun way to spend a hot summer day!
