leavin' on a jet plane...

as we were getting ready for our trip to fl, our friends the briscos posted about a recent flight they'd taken with luke, complete with a little rolling penguin suitcase for him to pull all by himself! since we had already decided to carry-on all of our luggage instead of checking anything, the idea of putting faithy to work hauling her own stuff around seemed like a great idea!

enter the ladybug suitcase. with matching backpack!

faithy was *obsessed* with her ladybug bags in the days leading up to our trip, and at least twice she packed her own suitcase with things she felt were essential to the trip.

letter magnets.

sippy cup.

bits of crayon and a notebook.

you know, the important stuff.

and when we finally got to the airport, she was more than willing to carry her bag and pull the suitcase!

until she realized we were at gate b42. and we started walking at b1. nice. she lasted until about gate 23 and then dumped them both on the ground.

but all in all, the ladybug set was a smashing success, and she looked just too cute with them both!

the flight also went really well, thanks to window seat and the dvd player with max & ruby dvd! i didn't even have to break out the m&r stuffed dolls i made, so those have been reserved in case of an emergency on the flight home :)
