leah's nursery nook

given the layout of our house, we decided that instead of moving faith upstairs by herself and or putting leah in her room, we'd convert part of the little office off of our master bedroom into leah's little nursery nook. after all, how much time does a newborn actually spend in her own room?

the little bookcase alcove is the perfect size for her crib, so we hung some curtains to hide the books and tucked it right in.

the dresser doubles as a changing table. we got a couple of little shelves from hobby lobby and faith, zee and i gave them a sea glass wash. so cute! since there's no closet, i can use the little hooks to hang her sweet dresses.

so here's the little dresser/changing table area and the shelves. we also got her a little "L" and painted it with the same sea glass paint.

since taking these pictures, i've made the fabric crib rail covers to go over where big sister wood-chucked her crib while teething...

and a new changing pad cover in the same fabric. i plan to make another, slightly different, pad cover and maybe a little bunting to hang in the crib alcove, but i think we're just about done!
