happy thanksmas!

clearly we've been caught up in that strange whirlwind of space and time between thanksgiving and christmas, which is why i haven't posted in a while! but i wanted to be sure to get a few things up on the ol' blog before christmas completely takes over!

this year, for the first time in ten years of marriage, we traveled for thanksgiving. we packed our bags and headed for the ocala national forest in florida for a "thanksmas" extravaganza with the johnson clan, a special thanksgiving and christmas combo get together (thanks for the word, uncle jeff!)

while the daddies did a lot of this! 

 our first morning there we celebrated an early christmas, where faith got, among other things, a raincoat and hello kitty boots...

and a pink DS!!!!

 which led to a lot of this.

we watched the sad excuse of an iron bowl together at beef o'brady's and took a BAMA family picture! 

faith expressed her disinterest in the game by rocking out 80s style :) 

since we were all sad about BAMA losing, we consoled ourselves by watching "it's a wonderful life," kevin and i had never seen it! 

somehow i didn't take any pictures of the thanksgiving portion of our FL thanksmas, but we enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared by nana and aunt joanna! it was a lovely trip and a great warmup for christmas!
