four years ago today, an amazing thing happened.
i became a mama.
the love of my life became a daddy.
we became a family of three.
and now that itty bitty baby with the skinny little legs and insatiable appetite has transformed into a loquacious, precocious, imperious little girl.
she loves big, preferring to tackle-hug those she chooses to bless with her affections, and she has an inquisitive mind, always asking a million questions and storing away the answers for later.
she's fearless, climbing to great heights or leaping great distances without a second thought, but she still comes running for a kiss and a cuddle when she manages to scrape her knee or the palms of her hands.
she's in love with language, constantly querying how things are spelled or definitions of words to add to her vocabulary, and she finds joy in the colors of paint on a piece of paper.
faith is the joy of our hearts, the tester of our patience, the light of our lives, and it's hard to imagine what we ever did without her! happy fourth birthday, sweet girl!
