disney: day 3

after the late-night excitement of the magic kingdom, the girls and nana slept in and kevin and i went to hollywood studios by ourselves for not quite two hours. it was more than a little weird not to have faith with us, but we bore the burden bravely by riding the tower of terror and rockin' roller coaster a few times in a row!

nana and the girls joined us mid-morning, and boy howdy did we have fun! we started off by meeting lotso bear, a new character appearing in toy story 3 next month, and MICKEY MOUSE as the sorcerer's apprentice!

then it was off to the playhouse disney show, followed by a meeting with june and quincy from little einsteins (be prepared for lots of character stuff, faith finally decided that meeting characters and having them sign her little book was fun! plus, her favorites were all at hollywood, which made it better too!)

aleigh, faith, quincy and june (even aleigh got in on this one, she's not big on the characters!)

after the playhouse disney show, we went to the little mermaid, then walked over towards the honey, i shrunk the kids playground, luigi's garage and back to the backlot studio tour.

we also ran into sully from monster's inc, and faith was so excited to see him! she really wanted to go through boo's door...

faith's very favorite parts of the day all happened at pixar place! first, she met jessie, then green army man (who was just too hilarious for words), followed by a double dose of toy story mania! even the waiting area for the ride was fun :)

faith and jessie! she didn't even want to see woody (and buzz) in the building next door. she said she'd already seen buzz and now jessie, which was enough to make her happy!

she loved this guy, too funny

on the ride with nana! she insisted on the blue gun for her second time around

and in true toy story fashion, faith got a vintage-style slinky dog as one of her souvenirs! it's been with her ever since :)

we also went to the finale show of the american idol experience, even though we don't watch the show, and had a lot of fun getting to see what it might be like to be in the audience. plus, the finalists were all surprisingly good!
