deliciousness.

last night, faith asked for a cookie.

we didn't have any cookies. nothing that could even be considered a quasi-cookie. and i had no intention of giving her a cookie because we didn't have any.

then i remembered that super easy peanut butter cookie recipe i found one time on the world wide interweb.

peanut butter.
sugar.
egg.
bake.

annnnnd we happened to have all those things in the house (a minor miracle for this non-baking mama.)

so i made peanut butter cookies.

while they were baking, i remembered that i had some unopened chocolate bark in the pantry from an unfulfilled valentine's day intent.

and this is what we ended up with. peanut butter and chocolately deliciousness in cookie form.

i made a small batch last night, and we pretty much ate them all.

which led to making some more tonight. and faithy helped, because wherever chocolate is, there is faith.

and so our lead-up to bedtime includes two chocolate-dipped peanut butter cookies and a little milk.

hopefully they'll balance out and she'll go to sleep sometime soon ;)

  1. The cookies look great! Faith is really getting into this baking thing. She will make a "Paula Dean" out of you yet. Never tried that recipe but will try it on my prims girls at church.

Faith looks so cute and seems to really be enjoying herself. I think she was trying to tell me tonight that she wanted to come to my house and bake chocolate cookies. Can't wait!!

  2. I saw a similar recipe (Paula Deen I think.....) and these were made with splenda instead of regular sugar, though I've never tried making them. She looks like she is really enjoying cooking/baking. Fun and a great "make a memory" moment!
