faith wore this outfit to miller's birthday part, which i posted about here, but it was a little hard to see the outfit, and i did just happen to take some pictures of her in it at preschool today (she was singing with ms. rochelle in these), so here it is again! same shorts pattern i've used a jillion times, and the top is just another modified peasant which i love so much, with the gathered bit for the lower part. one of these days i really should venture out into something different, but i just love this look on her. and since i make them, i guess i can make as many as i want, right? ;) this time i did use a fabric sash to match the shorts instead of ribbon like i did before, and i seriously thought my fingers were going to cramp up and fall off from how long it took to turn that tube.
i need one of these. and it's cheap even.
of course, that means a trip to joann's or hancock's or hobby lobby. which means i would undoubtedly come home with more fabric. and i just had to clear out and reorganize our guest room closet-turned sewing supply closet to get a handle on all the fabric i already have.
which means our new friend dave wouldn't approve.
maybe i should order it online instead. maybe i could avoid purchasing more fabric that way.
maybe.
and just for a overload of cuteness, here's one of faith and her bff avery. those girls crack me up.
oh...that picture is too cute!
ReplyDeleteCute outfits! I love the purple polka dotted dress and the green rain boots on the other little girl in the pictue with Faith, great look! :)
ReplyDeleteI totally understand about buying too much when you go to the store........send Kevin. Your Dad goes to Publix and buys exactly what is on the list, whereas I go and I come home with the trunk full of stuff! print out the picture so he'll know what he's looking for, or at least take with you and he can rush you through so you don't have time to look at all the great fabrics and visualize all the cute things you can make. Of course, when you itemize how much money you are saving he may help you buy more fabric!! I've been trying to discard some crafty things I don't think I'll ever use and it's hard. I think I have enough DMC floss and aida cloth and Xstitch needles to last me the rest of my life.....
